NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING OF THE GALAX CITY COUNCIL TO ADOPT AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE NAME OF THE INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF GALAX TO THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF GALAX
Notice is hereby given that the Galax City Council will, on Monday, December 8, 2025, at 6:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be called on the agenda, in the City Council Chambers of the Galax Municipal Building, 111 E. Grayson Street, Galax, Virginia, conduct a public hearing to receive public comment on a proposed Ordinance to change the name of the Industrial Development Authority of the City of Galax to the Economic Development Authority of the City of Galax. All powers, duties, composition and functions of the Authority would remain unchanged. A copy of the proposed Ordinance is available for inspection in the offices of the City Manager, 111 E. Grayson Street, Galax, VA 24333. All interested citizens are invited to attend.
