Finance Department

The Department of Finance is responsible for:

  • Establishing and maintaining sound fiscal policies for the City
  • Accounting for the City’s financial resources
  • Monthly and annual financial reporting
  • Payroll and benefits administration for City employees
  • Disbursing funds for City purchases
  • Billing and collection of water, sewer, and garbage accounts
  • Billing and collection of real estate and property taxes
  • Collection of miscellaneous local taxes and fees such as meals tax, lodging tax, parking tickets, etc.
  • Sale of vehicle decals, dog/cat licenses, and yard sale permits
  • Delinquent tax collection
  • Budget administration
