Finance Department
The Department of Finance is responsible for:
- Establishing and maintaining sound fiscal policies for the City
- Accounting for the City’s financial resources
- Monthly and annual financial reporting
- Payroll and benefits administration for City employees
- Disbursing funds for City purchases
- Billing and collection of water, sewer, and garbage accounts
- Billing and collection of real estate and property taxes
- Collection of miscellaneous local taxes and fees such as meals tax, lodging tax, parking tickets, etc.
- Sale of vehicle decals, dog/cat licenses, and yard sale permits
- Delinquent tax collection
- Budget administration
