Building Official / Department Services

The city of Galax Building Department performs a variety of city administrative and professional responsibilities related to construction, property maintenance, traffic control signals, street lighting, and Floodplain management. The Building Department provides services related to all construction within the city limits of Galax as well as floodplain management and construction. The City Building Official/Department Director provides management to the city electrician, the city building/property maintenance and janitorial staff.
