NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
AMENDMENTS TO PARKING ENFORCEMENT ORDINANCE
The governing body of the City of Galax, Virginia will conduct a public hearing Monday the 12th day of September, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, in the Chambers of the City Council at the municipal building, 111 E. Grayson Street, to receive public comments on an ordinance amending Article IV, Chapter 148 of the Galax City Code. The proposed ordinance would add an additional subsection to the existing Section 148-80 to provide a process for the issuance of citations to General District Court if parking tickets have not been paid within five (5) days of issuance. A copy of the proposed ordinance is available for review in the offices of the City Manager, 111 E. Grayson Street, Galax, Virginia.
