The Galax Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA) will hold a public hearing on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. in the First Floor Conference Room of the Galax Municipal Building located at 111 E. Grayson Street, Galax, VA to receive comments on the following request:
Stuart Drive Venture, LLC has requested a zoning variance for property located at 46 Fiddler’s Ridge Drive, Galax, VA (Tax Parcel 12-40C) to permit construction of a 40-foot-high pylon sign for the Murphy Oil USA, Inc. fueling station. City of Galax Zoning Ordinance § 160-135.B permits a 30-foot maximum height for pylon signs located in a Business District with road frontage exceeding 150 lineal feet.
