Like most communities across Virginia, COVID-19 cases are again on the rise in the City of Galax. The City is working in cooperation with the Commonwealth of Virginia and government officials to best ensure the safety of our residents. City officials will rely on guidance from the CDC and the Virginia Department of Health to make decisions that are in the best interest of our staff and the public. Residents are asked to please adhere to recommendations issued by the State and U.S government regarding preventative measures. The City encourages our residents to get a vaccine if you are eligible, to wear a mask if you are unvaccinated, to socially distance when possible and to wash your hands regularly.
