The City of Galax is seeking individuals for three 4-year terms with a 2-term limit to serve on the Advisory Board to the Galax Department of Social Services. The terms will begin on September 1, 2022. The Advisory Board is appointed by City Council to address all matters pertinent to public assistance and social services needed in the jurisdiction served by the local department. The Advisory Board meets six (6) times per year.
Any Galax City resident interested in serving on this board is asked to send a letter of interest to the City Manager’s office, 111 E. Grayson Street, Galax, VA 24333, or to citymanager@galaxva.com by 5:00 p.m. on August 3, 2022.
