The City of Galax and the Galax Fire Department have lifted the Burn Ban for the City of Galax effective immediately. After discussions with the Department of Forestry and the Emergency Services Coordinator, sufficient rain has fallen to eliminate the danger of wildfire currently. On behalf of all of our area first responders, thank you for adhering to the Burn Ban, which kept our area free from any catastrophic events. Together, we’ll keep our community safe.
