The governing body of the City of Galax, Virginia will conduct a public hearing on the 8th day of January, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, in the City of Galax Municipal Building, 111 East Grayson Street, Galax, Virginia, to receive public comments on an ordinance amending Chapter 125 of the City Code of the City of Galax, Virginia. The proposed ordinance would clarify terminology for improved or developed parcels and amend the existing stormwater utility fee to eliminate charges for unimproved parcels with no impervious constructed surfaces. A copy of the proposed ordinance is available for review in the office of the City Manager, 111 E. Grayson St., Galax, Virginia. All interested persons are invited to attend and express their views.
