The governing body of the City of Galax, Virginia will conduct a public hearing on the 8th day of January, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, in the City of Galax Municipal Building, 111 East Grayson Street, Galax, Virginia, to receive public comments on a proposal by Blue Line Solutions to install speed capturing cameras in school zones within the City. The proposal would automatically ticket vehicles being operated above a to-be-determined speed within City school zones. A copy of the proposal is available for review in the office of the City Manager, 111 E. Grayson St., Galax, Virginia. All interested persons are invited to attend and express their views.
